East meets West
Beirut the capital of Lebanon is sea, sun and sights, if you’re looking for East meets West, Beirut is the place to be. It is a fast paced, fashion orientated and very friendly city, it is known to be crowded and chaotic, however with it’s magnificent array of museums, shops, gastronomy, bars and shops makes it a priority on every tourist’s itinerary.
To get away from all the hustle and bustle is easy as there are many places to visit not so far away from Beirut’s centre. Byblos, a pretty fishing port with an ancient harbour and medieval town centre is a great place to visit and spend one or two nights to escape the city.
If in search for nature the Qadisha Valley is not so far away, it has some of the most beautiful scenery in Lebanon, the journey takes you along mountainous slopes with incredible views of the valley. This place is home to a variety of wildlife and wildflowers. Then there is The Cedars, Lebanon’s most attractive ski-resort and the oldest village with the most european feel to it.
There are many places to explore in and around Beirut, many visitors make the city their base and take day trips to the various other places Lebanon has to offer. An incredible city with so much to see and do.
