The Mountain of many surprises…


Cape town nestled in a wide bay surrounded by wild, white sand beaches and home to the majestic Table mountain as a backdrop.  Table Mountain (Khoikhoi: Hoerikwaggo, Afrikaans: Tafelberg) is one of the new seven wonders of the world. It’s a very special place, with stunning views of Cape Town. It is the country’s best-known landmark and the mountain looks like a table and is part of the Table Mountain National Park.

The National Park, which is globally recognized for its biodiversity, and contains truly unique fauna and flora. The park encompasses the Table Mountain chain stretching from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point in the south and the seas and coastline of the peninsula.

It is most photographed attraction and its famous cable car has taken millions of people to its top.  Table Mountain has become the single most welcoming icon not only to the South Africans, but travelers from all over the world.

There are over 2,200 species of plants and 1470 floral species.  The floral region of the national park is one of the richest in the world, over 70% of the flowers are native to the park.  Apart from the biodiversity, there are many activities to do in Table Mountain national park, from hiking, tour by cable car to visiting Cape Point.
